Qualifications Bachelor's degree in education with a minor in Art education.
Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate and Fingerprint Clearance Card.
One of the following:
Elementary, Middle Grades, or Secondary Certificate:
Art Approved Area Arts Education, PreK-12 Art Certificate Art, PreK-12 Endorsement Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable Reports To Building Principal Job Goal To develop and utilize in each pupil an interest in and the ability to express himself creatively in visual terms, utilizing skills and techniques of artistic expression appropriate to the pupil's interest and abilities; to develop aesthetic understandings and appreciations; to discover critical/appreciative awareness of our environment.
Performance Responsibilities Teaches knowledge and skills in art, including crafts, drawing, painting, graphics, sculpture, and environmental design, utilizing course of study adopted by the Board of Trustees, and other appropriate learning activities.
Instruct pupils in citizenship and basic subject matter specified in state law and administrative regulations and procedures of the school district.
Positive attitude towards life is stressed.
Process, not product is stressed.
Provides instruction by which pupils develop aesthetic concepts and appreciations and the ability to make qualitative judgments about art and their environment.
Demonstrates techniques in activities such as drawing, painting, and modeling using standard and/or teacher prepared instructional aids.
Develops instructional plans and organizes class time to provide a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and working time.
These plans include an activity, motivation, concept, and skill.
Provides individual and small group instruction in order to adapt the curriculum to the needs of pupils with varying intellectual and artistic abilities, and to accommodate a variety of instructional activities.
Expressive objectives are stressed over behavior objectives.
Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to provide an orderly and productive study environment including appropriate extra curricular activities.
Instruct pupils in proper care and use of tools and equipment.
Organizes storage areas and controls use of materials, equipment, and tools to prevent loss or abuse, and to minimize time required for distribution and collection.
Evaluates each pupil's performance and growth in knowledge and aesthetic understanding and to prepare progress reports.
Selects and requisitions books, instructional materials, tools, instructional aids, and maintains required inventory records.
Plans and presents art displays and exhibitions designed to exhibit pupils' work for the school and community.
May sponsor exhibits from outside.
Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the District and/or in self selected professional growth activities.
Maintains an auditable record of pupil attendance and makes daily reports of pupils absent each period.
Assigns citizenship and scholarship marks.
Communicates with parents and school personnel on pupil progress.
Participates in curriculum and other developmental programs within the school of assignment and/or on a District level.
Other duties as may be assigned.
Terms of Employment Salary and work schedule to be established by the Governing Board.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
